Privacy Policy
Your music, your data, your device.
Last Updated: September 19, 2026
The short version: Vibrain is built to work fully offline. Your library and creations stay on your device. Nothing goes to our servers. Vibrain V1 is also completely free - no ads, no payments.
Introduction
TecHub ("we", "us", "our") operates Vibrain (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, why, and what choices you have.
Data you never send us
Your music files, playlists, recordings, exported mixes, and any content you create with Vibrain's tools are stored only on your device (or removable/shared storage you grant access to). We do not upload, back up, or have any access to this content.
Crash Reports & Analytics (Opt-in Only)
Vibrain integrates a crash reporting and analytics service, fully disabled by default. It only activates if you explicitly agree. When enabled, the scope is strictly:
- Crash reports: Technical diagnostic data (stack traces, device model, OS) to help us fix bugs. Never contains your files.
- Anonymous counts: A basic count of active users. We do not track listening history or in-app behavior.
- No Ads: We do not collect advertising identifiers and do not run ads.
Device Permissions
The App requests permissions for on-device operations only. None send data to TecHub:
- Media/Storage: To read and write audio files for your own library and mixes.
- Microphone: Used only when you actively start a recording in Vocal Booth or Studio tools.
- Network/Wi-Fi: Used strictly to operate Local Audio Cast and transmit crash data (if opted in).
Local Audio Cast
This feature lets one device (the "host") share a playlist with other Vibrain devices on the same local Wi-Fi network (the "guests"), and lets guests request to play a song from that shared playlist or download a permanent copy of one. Guests cannot send or upload any file from their own device to the host. All communication happens directly, device-to-device, over your Wi-Fi network. It never passes through, or is visible to, any TecHub server. Specifically:
- A device name and locally-generated session identifiers are exchanged between paired devices, visible only to devices on the same Wi-Fi network you're on.
- Any song file transferred as part of this feature (a shared song downloaded by a guest, from the host) is sent only to the specific other device involved in that approved request, never to us.
- Every join, song request, and file transfer requires explicit approval from the device receiving the request. Nothing happens automatically or silently.
